Poetry

Five Poems by Kenneth Kesner

i can’t wait here
her fate so alarming
whispers by every margin
origami in place
she statues lone where
i don’t know
where secrets come from
how they’re found
somewhere else
maps lie don’t they
hold a story
of the lost

imitation autographs

you’ll answer stop seeming so far now
and now we’ll be
left far behind and before
an altar a wardrobe remembrance
dream slow on waiting yesterday’s waiting
will i hear moved demoned away laughing
sly planets break of dawn glass
sirens were
used to time moments to belief

epact

until the mimed distance
distance unaware

winds and poppies too

several storms approaching
in portions call their name

straight in front of you

twilight

shadows deeply rose

with the urging of elsewhere

see

who are leaving for the day

orphans of their youth

along a distance

among the bronze

some came to honour

suddenly interpret

couldn’t see past their eyes

just a moment just arranged

what i’ve got to have
have by loss

tranquil desire forget to phrase

when i see them they can tell
who are happening

by chance

several shades maybe more or not
pausing to leave there i’d gather

among words perfect flaw of space

everywhere’s tense

before then

i might thank you where i think of

on a suppose innocence

where’s where this means fear
fear lies somewhere in the paint

ask a muse for what’s she’s worth

to burn

some depicting in stone some thought
close to a window

of flame

striking mirrors thrown so fast
almost to glass

risking pain before a prayer
